fortitude meaning

True premises have immense fortitude

In Chess a pawn can save the Queen from annihilation and a king can prevent a stalemate with a Knight, Rook and Bishop the same way.

How ironic is that a symbiotic relationship for survival can develop into game changer, in an instant.

But only people do not fall under the category of support.

Once during his time in South Africa. In full public view, this person burned passes issued by the British the the then colony of South Africa. These passes were not issued to Europeans at the time; only to immigrants and locals who were not White. He was successful in burning most of it but was beaten up and thrown in jail. We are talking about Gandhi.

In Richard Attenborough’s Gandhi was asked by Charlie Andrews ( a reporter / priest does not say which ) are you not surprised to see me come to help you. Gandhi said when I see people come to help I used to be surprised but when any fight is against injustice many people from all around the world come to help. Whatever the dangers involved they always give a hand.

Long before 19th Century Gandhi there was a man who changed kingdoms by walking in and out of their gallows unnoticed. He used to guide the most influential people of these regions and nobody knew anything except that he had come to visit his old home and stayed there doing prayers. This was Chanakya, or Acharya Vishugupt.

Somewhere around 500 B.C When he raided camps of Alexander and conquered territories held by the Greeks with not much but rebels and outcastes as soldiers and captains. He is said to have believed to his very core that “Satya mein Samarthya hota hai, aur Samarthyawaan ke paas hi Satya hota hai”.

He is said to have believed that if you lose it’s not the truth or belief that was misplaced but your conception of the same was not capable of winning. Everybody has a version of their truth he said and they wholeheartedly believe it. But they don’t believe they can win with it because etc etc reasons.

No doubt the people in power believe their truth is strong by the numbers of their men or weapons they wield but belief without doubt what I believe will fetch me results and connecting that belief with everyone going through similar crises is what makes me victorious.

I believe Bharat is my motherland and whosoever does harm to my Dhara I will conquer simply because I am right.

So support of what is right is important enough to make all chess pawns join the game back and defeat whosoever comes their way. Having said that it’s always a game of numbers. And it changes since even Chanakya or Gandhi could not control what happened after the fight was won. Since after their respective victories more number of people were against them than their competition ever had.

There is obviously a much complicated explanation for this since let it be Julius Ceaser, Alexander, Ghenghais Khan, Napoleon, Abraham Lincoln, JFK, Gandhi or Hitler. All had their pitfalls after they surprised the whole world with their accomplishments.

Let’s talk about Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Google and Facebook who are the biggest Giants today. No one person on the planet can escape their Apps, phones, services, products and social networks. What is their truth, how have they subject the whole pop culture of today to be influenced, where once Heavy metal, light metal, soft rock, Pop, Hip hop, Jazz or Even Just Micheal Jackson were kings, Companies like Coca cola, Pepsi were influencers of Pop culture.

Even TV and Radio shows where people used Ham-radio were very big hits especially in Europe. Movies and epic dramas like Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, Magnificent Seven, King and I, the whole dollars trilogy, Guns of Navarone, Bond James Bond were rulers of the 70s.

In the 80s Apple and Microsoft came into play. Dethroning the old gods like Xerox and IBM. And soon By the end of 80s we saw everyone in front of a computer. .

Chaos is a ladder. If you know what I mean you know what I am referring to. Yes chaos; every villain needs a hero and only when a villain is unstoppable a hero is born. Everybody turns to truth only when there is chaos.

Social media had boomed in the 90s with companies like Microsoft and IBM started handling communications directly with AT & T. And there was chaos on setting up Silicon Valleys across the globe for huge business opportunities to outsource. Mind you the game is still about numbers.

And who sold more was the leader. No question about that. So who has the best idea to sell.

Netflix took out a special on social media and its addiction. In that a guy says tool is a tool and should be used only when the owner wishes to use it. Another said only two industries use the word USER to refer to its customer/client/consumer one is Drugs industry the other is IT Industry.

What made Google and Facebook so opportune to this chaos is the sheer addiction of their offerings. They gave what nobody had given before. Content from directly the consumer’s brain. Till then nobody could do that.

Their truth is simply that no. of users will connect with more users simply because they can’t live without connecting to each other’s interests. If you like cycling you will connect to people who like cycling on google maps for locations and join, if you like to party send me an invite on fb and I’ll RSVP you. Whole of the UK and US were horrendously addicted to Farmville in its initial years.

Google with their JSP search scripts handled SEO. Which was only accessible from their APIs. These were MBs longs unpunctuated code which even with brute force was impossible to syphon. This put all other search engines way behind them for advertisers. Now facebook search was not centric to SEO more it was centric towards People you may know marketing.

Even there were logics for people appearing on your display list to be customized by region and interests of pages you visited.

I can go on and on about this since we experienced the whole charade; a blog will not be enough to put the whole history of observations of how Lotus123 before BASIC ruled computations, Spreadsheets implemented reduced documentation and printing costs. Desktop Computing revolutionized by Apple and Microsoft. Or how the fights for Microchips to disk drives to dots. And finally 4th Gen computing expanded to now 5th Gen AI( Artificial Intelligence.)

We are still analysing this and not much conclusion to be drawn as to it is good or bad. But nobody can willfully deny their truth has fortitude which conquered the ladder and we are all still watching.

Also applauding video makers for showing the true nature of such networks such as the one’s about Facebook’s appeals to the U.S Congress (it said Columbia college influenced election results). Google’s hearings in both the U.S and U.K senates.

Youtube’s privacy policy being challenged for being hypocritical, Amazon’s disregard for rain-forests, etc etc. And yet feeding them with our own facial recognition photos, thumbprints, DOB, SSN, etc for them to sell. What an audience we are.

Sheep following the herd mentality; not everyone can change but you yourself diminish your online presence to what’s available and what’s not. Peace of mind comes directly when you have dinners and lunches without your phones.

Or don’t buy stuff online which is thrown as ads to your faces. Like a cycle, use it when you want.

Back and neck aches can be avoided easily. Instead of watching and enacting comedy or dance videos do that with your friends live and then after a month post it online if you like. Give a break in between. Lots of Celebrities do the same thing. They promote when the release is on hand. Not instantly. At that very instant they will be working on 2-3 huge projects which obviously is a secret.

Jimmy Fallon, David Letterman, Graham Norton even Kapil Sharma shows who sees celebs right at the time of shoot of the films. Similarly there is nothing wrong with posting or sharing or networking but do it with ease. Not Stress.

I was at a book release the other day and as soon the author arrived everyone was ready to talk to him. Ready is more subtle, say audaciously attracted to the author’s writing. Female audience just pounced on him the time he arrived. Why because he came after 2 weeks of his book release to the venue. And mind you people including from the organizers of the event to the book keepers of these stores had already read the book.

Do you want 100-200 views or likes or would you prefer 1K – 1M subscribers. Enough mike down; argument closed and won. It’s that simple. Be a celebrity. So give it time, not let advertisers and peer pressure ruin your peace of mind.

So as established Truth has credibility, strength to win and fortitude to beat the odds only when it’s prepared to overcome the loopholes of the system. Amazon, Google, Facebook should be at your disposable and not the other way around. Gen X and Gen Y know this, Millennials; well get over instagram, whatsapp, youtube and tick tok then you will understand.
